NATO Exercise Precise Response 17 Ongoing in Canada

The 14th edition of Exercise Precise Response is ongoing and will run through July 28 and is being held at Canadian Forces Base Suffield in Alberta. 

Over 400 participants from 11 NATO and Partner countries are taking part in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear exercise.

Hosted by the Canadian Armed Forces the exercise goal is to test the skills and interoperability of the CBRN specialists in a real time environment with live agents.

Missions throughout the exercise include assessing hazards in multiple compounds, mitigating explosive threats and collecting samples for analysis.

Part of the larger Alliance’s Defence Against Terrorism Programme of Work whose goal is to develop new cutting edge technologies and capabilities to protect troops and civilians against terrorist attacks.
